Hiyoko Class | Care Giver and Me

A first gentle step into Aozora Preschool:
Our Caregiver & Me Class (Hiyoko-gumi) is designed for children ages 15 months to 2 years old and their
caregivers. This class offers a gentle first experience of Aozora Preschool in a warm, sage, and playful
environment.

Together with a trusted grown-up, children will enjoy familiar preschool routines such as Choice Time,
Morning Circle, songs, movement, sensory play, and hands-on activities. Through these experiences,
toddlers begin to build independence, curiosity, language, and social-emotional skills.

Caregivers will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Aozora approach, including child-led
exploration, respectful caregiving, and sporting children’s emotions and communication.
This class helps children and families feel connected to the Aozora community and supports a smooth
transition into preschool.
